Letter from A Fernbach to Horace T Brown Informs Brown of a factory in Switzerland with a process for manufacturing ethyleno-carbide and synthetic alcohol -- gives some details about their production plans -- cannot find the patent information, but suggests that details of the process might be got by visiting the plant, though permission might be hard to get -- 'there is no doubt that, if alcohol could be obtained from this source, at least to cover partially the wants, no Government should hesitate'. 6 January 1917
