Note on the use of potatoes by the Home Army Note prepared for the Home Office by the Food Committee. Notes that the Ministry of Food has issued instructions on the large supply of potatoes -- suggests that the Home Army is stationed around the country, close to potato supplies, without the difficulties of transporting potatoes to big cities -- notes the nutritional value of the potato and its nitrogen content -- gives the Committee's suggestion that foods be introduced into the diet of the soldier in breads and as cereal replacement.
