Copy letter from Robert [Falcon] Scott to the Presidents of the Royal Society and the Royal Geographical Society Scott states that preparations for the Antarctic Expedition are behind schedule and the expedition will be delayed by a year if daily attention is not focused on it. Complains that the current system is not working, as the Committees and Sub-Committees in charge of planning do not meet frequently enough and the Committee members are all busy men. Proposes a scheme where he will be given discretionary powers to complete the necessary preparations. Encloses cost estimates for all the remaining preparations and expenses for the expedition, and a draft submission outlining Scott's proposal for consideration by the Antarctic Committees.
