<dc:title>Draft instructions to the Commander of the Antarctic Expedition and the Director of the Civilian Scientific Staff</dc:title>
<dc:description>Proposed by the Antarctic Executive Committee. The first three pages are the instructions to the commander, covering the main objectives of the expedition and the various scientific observations he is tasked with overseeing. There are also instructions on wintering, stating that it is at the discretion of the commander whether to land a small party or to winter in the ice. It states that a small landing party may not be able to procure all the scientific results that are desired. The last page contains the instructions to the scientific director, detailing the men under his command and details of the ownership of the research following the completion of the expedition. With some manuscript corrections in ink.</dc:description>
