<dc:title>Letter from Cyril Longhurst, Napleton Villa, Kempsey, Worcester, to [Edward Lygon Somers] Cocks</dc:title>
<dc:description>Longhurst in in Worcester for a holiday, but 'shoals of letters' demand his attention and he will come to the office next Friday. The Finance Committee passed a resolution empowering the Treasurers to sign cheques for money required for the travel of [Louis] Bernacchi and [Edward] Else to Melbourne. Bernacchi needs to go to Potsdam, and Longhurst asks Cocks to write a cheque for £20 to cover this. [William] Shackleton previously visited there and the trip cost about £15. Else is sailing on 1 September with 100 tons of goods, and will need a cheque for freight of about £150. Longhurst will get more particulars about this. Longhurst has received word from [Robert Falcon] Scott saying they arrived safe and well in Funchal on 15 August.</dc:description>
