Letter from Edward L S [Lygon Somers] Cocks, 43 Charing Cross, to [Alfred Bray] Kempe Will be in Cornwall from Saturday until 18 September, then back in London for a few days. He encloses a letter received from [Cyril] Longhurst. Cocks suggessts they give [Louis] Bernacchi £30 for his Melbourne expenses, then advise [Robert Falcon] Scott of this aso he can check the accounts. Cocks will sign the cheque for £150 to cover freight and send this on to Melbourne. Informs Kempe that the Government Grant of £5,000 has been received in the account and he has paid in another £5,000 from the Royal Geographical Society. 21 August 1901
