Letter from L [Leonard] Darwin, 12 Egerton Place, to Sir Michael [Foster] Sir C M [Clements Markham] is preparing a memo regarding the Instructions, though Darwin thinks the delay will make things difficult. He suggests that the Royal Society Council could pass a resolution stating that the Instructions to not represent the Society's views, but that they will accept them as a compromise if the Royal Geographical Society does likewise.
