The object is inscribed verso ""Nova". Herschel's paper explains this term: "When no previous version of a nebular or cluster could be found in the writings of former observers, it is designated as Nova".Shown with a scale of 0-2 minutes, not used on the plate. With an instruction to the printer verso: "Nb The divided scale not to remain being doubtful". Also inscribed verso, in pencil with right ascension, North polar distance and sweep numbers. </dc:description>
