Letter from R [Robert Falcon] Scott, Hotel de la Plage, to Sir Archibald [Geikie] Scott received his copy of the Meteorological Volume from the 'Discovery' Expedition a month ago, but has only just had time to look at it after getting married. He protests about some remarks made by [William Napier] Shaw in the preface, which are unfair and inaccurate. Other members of the Expedition agree, but Scott wishes to inform the Royal Society before taking action as the volume is published in their name. Provides his address in London for further contact on the matter. Scott cannot think of a reason why Shaw has been hostile. [c.19 September 1908]
