<dc:title>Letter from H [Henry] Montagu Butler, Trinity Lodge, Cambridge, to [Joseph] Larmor</dc:title>
<dc:description>He thanks Larmor for a kind letter and laments losses of College and University friends. With the exception of the Master of Clare, Peter Mason must have been 'almost our Nestor'. There is a tradition that he gave Hebrew lessons to Bishop Lightfoot. It is sad that George Darwin should have survived the International Congress of Mathematics by only a few months. He notes the people he has written to, telling them of the service. Since getting Larmor's latter he has telegraphed Sir Archibald to bring Schuster to lunch. </dc:description>
