<dc:title>Letter from [Randal Mowbray Thomas Rawdon Berkeley, 8th Earl of] Berkeley, Eskadale, Beauly, to [Joseph] Larmor</dc:title>
<dc:description>Thanking Larmor for his letter. He will be delighted to try the experiments but he expects difficulties. He returned the proofs on 15 August with two added appendices. One will interest Larmor, since he gives reasons for believing that the minute holes in membranes filter off the solute from the solvent. It appears that the molecules are bigger in strong, than in weak, solutions. In a postscript, he asks when the paper is likely to appear. </dc:description>
