<dc:title>Letter from [Randal Mowbray Thomas Rawdon Berkeley, 8th Earl of] Berkeley, Berkeley Castle, Gloucestershire, to [Joseph] Larmor</dc:title>
<dc:description>He thanks Larmor for taking so much trouble over the manuscript. The point they have not made clear is that it is about the specific volume, and he attempts to define this, giving an explanation which he hopes is better. He notes that it is a pity that Walker has left and asks if Larmor knows of anyone to take his place. The salary would be £750 per annum for two or three years, when he will close the laboratory. Having got together the equipment for determining compressibilities, it would be a pity to stop. </dc:description>
