<dc:title>Letter from [William Thomson, Lord] Kelvin, Netherhall, Largs, Ayrshire, to [Joseph] Larmor</dc:title>
<dc:description>Kelvin is sorry that an unauthorised biography of [George Gabriel] Stokes has been announced and he understands why Mrs. Humphreys is perturbed. He asks who the 'Vicar of St. Paul's' is. The reputation of Stokes could not be damaged but he wonders if any strong pressure could be applied to stop the publication. Larmor's suggestion of a biography with a reprint of the 'Popular Lectures' would be best, especially if Larmor could undertake it. They will be in Cambridge at St. Peterhouse from 28 October and he would like to talk over the matter with Larmor. </dc:description>
