Letter from Henry J [John] Smith, University Museum, Oxford, to [Joseph Larmor] He gives thanks for the copy of 'Geometry of conics' which contains matter wholly, or in part, new to him. He finds the historical part interesting, and Larmor's notion of the old and new geometry forming a continuous whole, rather than separated by 'some sort of chasm' with different principles and laws of reasoning on each side. 13 February 1881
