<dc:title>Letter from G A [George Adolphus] Schott, 38 Portland Street, Aberystwyth, to Sir Joseph Larmor</dc:title>
<dc:description>He thanks Larmor for his letter and apologises for the trouble he is causing. He asked his old schoolfellow, the Astronomer Royal [Frank Dyson] to sound out Larmor on the subject of [Alfred Heinrich] Bucherer. He explains his position in the matter, sympathising Larmor's reasons for caution about involvement. Bucherer treated him with great kindness during a visit to Bonn, and his scruples were overcome by [Hendrik] Lorentz's drafting of a 'gutachten'. He will write to Bucherer in a day or so, and should mention Larmor's reluctance, in case Larmor's actions may be misinterpreted and Larmor's letter suggests it is a matter for Bonn University. He might send the letter as it is, but understands it is not intended for Bucherer's perusal. </dc:description>
