<dc:title>Letter from James Stirling, Finchocks, Goudhurst, Kent, to [Joseph] Larmor</dc:title>
<dc:description>He gives thanks for Larmor's letter of 21 February. He has complied with Larmor's wishes about the note to [Arthur] Schuster. He can make nothing of equation 2 by itself, but takes advantage of equation 6 and gets something similar to [George Gabriel] Stokes. He would be glad if Larmor could look at pp.148-9 in volume 4 of the Mathematical and Physical Papers and then comment on his note.</dc:description>
