<dc:title>Letter from James Stirling, Finchocks, Goudhurst, Kent, to [Joseph] Larmor</dc:title>
<dc:description>Thanking Larmor for his letter of yesterday. Larmor has now 'hit the nail on the head' about [George Gabriel] Stokes's equations 6 and 7, and Stirling gives a physical deduction. He is sorry to hear of Larmor's account of himself and hopes he will take a holiday. Stirling's note has gone to [Arthur] Schuster. He asks Larmor not to trouble to write further. </dc:description>
