<dc:title>Letter from G [George] Johnstone Stoney, 8 Upper Hornsey Rise, London, to [Joseph] Larmor</dc:title>
<dc:description>Stoney is sorry to say that he cannot attend the meeting of Section A Committee tomorrow. If he can attend the [British] Association this year, he would like to read the paper 'On the telescopic vison of minute detail', if there is a day for optical questions. In a postscript, Stoney expresses concern for Sir Robert Hart, fearing that there was no hope of his escaping the massacres [at Beijing]. He notes the publication of [Robert Stawell] Ball's book as an important step in developing apparatus for dealing with geometry.</dc:description>
