<dc:title>Letter from W C D [William Cecil Dampier] Whetham, Upwater Lodge, Cambridge, to [Joseph] Larmor</dc:title>
<dc:description>He sends their 'Long Vacation work', hoping it will be accepted for the Proceedings. He has a paper from Lord Berkeley on osmotic pressure as determined from vapour pressures, and a theoretical note from [Will] Spens on the thermodynamic relations between the two quantities. This is a simpler paper than Larmor saw last. The respective authors are in a hurry for publication, fearing anticipation as there is a paper by [Louis] Kahlenberg on the same subject. Whetham asks if Larmor can get the papers refereed for the Proceedings [of the Royal Society]. He asks when his own paper is likely to come out. </dc:description>
