<dc:title>Letter from R S [Robert Simpson] Woodward, Carnegie Institution of Washington, Washington D.C., to Joseph Larmor, St John's College, Cambridge, England</dc:title>
<dc:description>He thanks Larmor for the letter sent from Belfast, expressing interest in [George Ellery] Hale's work. He agrees that they are in the experimental stage, but thinks that they may overlook theoretical considerations as a result. He hopes that Larmor could have enough of a holiday to visit Mount Wilson and to participate in a conference on solar physics. He recalls Larmor's very pleasant visit to them in Washington. Woodward may come to England next year.</dc:description>
