Letter from J [Joseph] Larmor, St John's College, Cambridge, to [George Francis] Fitzgerald He writes to remind Fitzgerald that he has no other copies of the manuscript and he would like to have it back when he is done with it. Larmor is keen on his view that there will be no effect in [Henry Augustus] Rowland's convection experiment when the gilding on the plate is not scratched to divide it into portions. His paper was partly caused by a German announcing that the effect was non-existent, but Larmor queries whether he used continuous discs. Since Fitzgerald knows Rowland, he asks if the enclosed postcard could be sent to him. Larmor has undertaken to do two lectures on the aether for Karl Pearson at Gresham College. 15 April 1894
