<dc:title>Letter from J [Joseph] Larmor, St John's College, Cambridge, to Sir Archibald [Geikie] </dc:title>
<dc:description>He has been trying the problem of a biological Foreign Secretary. He lists botanist Fellows, and other possible candidates for the office, giving some assessments of the relative seniority of selected figures. He thinks the Foreign Secretary should be a senior man. There is the usual trouble about vacancies in Council, and he gives possible retirements and replacements. Larmor is trying to evade a private bill in the week of the next Council. </dc:description>
