<dc:title>Draft letter from [Joseph Larmor], St John's College, Cambridge, to Lord Peel</dc:title>
<dc:description>It has been pointed out to Larmor that the wording of Peel's amendment on Women's University Franchise may be ambiguous and controversial if not altered. He notes the examinations necessary for a degree. Up to now, Girton students have passed one previous examination, but more of the Newnham women students have not; this involves Greek and Latin. Larmor points out the difficulty in including only the final examination in the tripos; if this earlier test was not included it would leave Girton women with a grievance. </dc:description>
