<dc:title>Letter from J [Joseph] Larmor, St John's College, Cambridge, to 'Dear Master' [Charles Taylor]</dc:title>
<dc:description>Taylor's constructions for conics satisfying given conditions 'are very interesting'. Larmor did not know that Newton had made so many, by projections he supposes. He has just received a copy of 'Elementary conics' and he thinks pages 60-61 are much too involved for beginners, explaining his reasoning. He makes other suggestions, concluding that Taylor's reconstruction of the asymptotic theory will be a great improvement.</dc:description>
