Letter from J [Joseph] Larmor, St John's College, Cambridge, to 'Dear Master' [Charles Taylor] Larmor gives thanks for the proofs, which he returns, now reading as a more connected treatise. It may be worthwhile to state in the preface that only such lines as are needed appear in the diagrams. This leaves out the conic itself, which the reader may sketch in, in pencil.
