Letter from James Dewar, Royal Institution of Great Britain, London, to [Joseph] Larmor In his hurry to catch the post he did not correct Larmor's mistake about the alleged want of a statement about the first sample of gas being collected by 'metal tubing'. He refers Larmor to his paper in volume 16 of 'Proceedings of the Royal Institution', quoting from it. No-one reading this and seeing the diagram could misunderstand its meaning. How Larmor failed to find a 'reason for the difference' is beyond Dewar's comprehension. 25 December 1906
