<dc:title>Letter from James Dewar, Royal Institution of Great Britain, London, to [Joseph] Larmor</dc:title>
<dc:description>Dewar saw Lady [Margaret] Huggins the day before and surmised that a continuation of her husband's pension was needed. She is in a 'shattered condition' and likes to confide in old friends. When the previous application was made in 1890, Dewar and [George Downing] Liveing took an active role, and Lady Huggins would like old friends to act again and would not entertain action from the [Royal] Astronomical Society. Dewar told her that if the President of the Royal Society acted, her friends would follow, and he has written to Sir Archibald Geikie in the hope of talking this over. </dc:description>
