  <dc:description>The Duke [of Northumberland] has been good enough to ask through the Duchess for Dewar to visit them at Alnwick Castle. He has always declined, having no interest in show. He has only seen them on rare occasions when they have attended Friday Evenings. This is aside from the scientific matter they have been attempting to discuss. Perhaps Larmor will be invited to Syon House with other distinguished Fellows, and Larmor will be able to judge Dewar's view of the family.   </dc:description>
