Letter from J L E [John Louis Emil] Dreyer, Observatory, Armagh, to [Joseph] Larmor Dreyer has heard from [Joseph Alfred] Hardcastle that Neill's bill for alterations is for £49 [ 'The scientific papers of Sir William Herschel']. He does not know how this has been charged. He gives an account of changes he had made, including the addition of a Philosophical Transactions paper obtained by Neill, and cuts to Colonel [John] Herschel's introduction. But these should not be charged for, as they should not have been set up in type without his instruction. He is sorry about this situation, but comments that 'if the sale is properly managed, a great part if not all of the outlay should be recovered'. Professor [Thomas Jefferson Jackson] See has informed him that there should be demand for this work in America. He suggests sending copies to publications for reviews. 19 April 1912
