<dc:title>Letter from Arthur Gamgee, the Royal Society, Burlington House, London, to [Joseph] Larmor</dc:title>
<dc:description>The Society has two portraits of Albrecht von Haller. The best was presented by Dr. [William] Sharpey and is in the Council Room [P/58]. The second [P/160], at an earlier period of Haller's life, is in the Office. He has received a request from Professor [Hugo] Kronecker of Berne, asking if they might be photographed, for a publisher requiring all known portraits of Haller, under the direction of the Professor of Art History. Gamgee asks what steps should be taken to grant permission. He thinks there should be no difficulty as the Society is sending a delegate to the Haller bicentenary </dc:description>
