<dc:title>Letter from Arch [Archibald] Geikie, 53 South Street, St Andrews, to [Joseph] Larmor</dc:title>
<dc:description>Geikie thanks Larmor for his intesting article on 'poor Fitzgerald' [George Francis Fitzgerald]. Geikie had a sad connection with his final hours, being in Dublin and staying with Professor [Daniel John] Cunningham. Geikie intended to propose Fitzgerald as President of the Belfast meeting of the British Association to be held next year. Cunningham saw Mrs Fitgerald, knowing that her husband was ill, and made the suggestion, which deighted her. But Fitzgerald died the next day, meaning that this was likely the last news he heard. </dc:description>
