<dc:title>Letter from Arch [Archibald] Geikie, Haslemere, to [Joseph] Larmor</dc:title>
<dc:description>Larmor's telegram has reached Geikie and he has written to the Royal Society. he is sorry not to be able to travel to Paris , as he had great regard for Becquerel. He explains the difficulty he had in getting representatives to attend Bertholet's funeral. He thinsk it will be impossible to find anyone within reach during the holiday season, and suggests that [Jean Gaston] Darboux and [Gabriel] Lippmann might represent the Royal Society. If Larmor agrees, Geikie will write to them. He remarks on the several recent deaths in the Academie des Sciences. Geikie will be at the Society on Monday next before crossing to Dubin.</dc:description>
