<dc:title>Letter from Arch [Archibald] Geikie, Haslemere, to [Joseph] Larmor</dc:title>
<dc:description>Larmor's proposed course of action regarding the Nautical Almanac, in gathering opinion of mathematicians and astronomers to present to the Admiralty, is the best that could be done. There is not much time if an appointment has to be made before 13 April. The Government seems to have started some schemes in haste, to commit Parliament before they go out of office. An official asked Geikie to join a committee for one such scheme, but he is unwilling. He hopes that Larmor will take a holiday. '[Robert] Harrison remains at Burlington House, crushed under the weight of work and responsibility, and as usual with the Fates against him'. </dc:description>
