<dc:title>Letter from Arch [Archibald] Geikie, Haslemere, to [Joseph] Larmor</dc:title>
<dc:description>Larmor's letter from on board the 'Lusitania' has just reached him. Geikie's summer plans were upset, as his wife's health prevented him from going to Stockholm, and it was not possible for him to go to Berlin. Geikie relays his immediate travel plans, including his intention to stay at Caius College in Cambridge. There has been little Royal Society business in Larmor's absence. The proof of the first sheet of the Catalogue of Early Printed Books has been kept back for Larmor, 'The Title page is hideous'. The only pressing matter is the Tyndall Scholarship, which has only three candidates. Geikie has passed recent months 'in a kind a dreamland with the Latin poets'. </dc:description>
