<dc:title>Letter from R T [Richard Tetley] Glazebrook, the National Physical Laboratory, Bushy House, Teddington, Middlesex, to [Joseph] Larmor</dc:title>
<dc:description>Glazebrook thinks that the Optical Glass Committee would like a letter on the Council's decision. On a different matter, he asks for suggestions on candidates for a senior Professor of Mathematics at the Imperial Technical College. He is unsure of the salary but thinks £1,000 to £1,200, and the idea is to have one Professor with one or two Assistant Professors, in place of [Olaus] Henrici and [John] Perry. Glazebrook is on the selection committee and may be expected to make suggestions, but he does not know junior mathematicians. By junior he means young, and they would want a mathematician with interests in physics and engineering. He asks for ideas and Larmor's opinion of [Richard Cockburn] Maclaurin. </dc:description>
