<dc:title>Letter from Arch [Archibald] Geikie, Royal Society, Burlington House, London, to [Joseph] Larmor </dc:title>
<dc:description>In the agenda paper for next Council [of the Royal Society] the notice of motion by [Arthur Everett] Shipley and [Ernest Howard] Griffiths is listed. Geikie instructed [Robert] Harrison to omit this, but the Treasurer gave his opinion that it should stand, otherwise Shipley would be troublesome. He wrote to Shipley to say that Council did not have the power to change the Charter, but he replied that it would not be difficult to do so. Geikie hopes that the matter will be dismissed by Council. </dc:description>
