<dc:title>Letter from Arch [Archibald] Geikie, Shepherd's Down, Haslemere, Surrey, to [Joseph] Larmor </dc:title>
<dc:description>He wa glad to hear that Larmor had managed a holiday in Antrim. He sympathises with Larmor's feeling of despair at the 'crowd of pushers and drivers' but thinks he should remain in Parliament until the end of the War, or even when peace arrangements are agreed. Geikie is still unable to move enough to put on clothes owing to his neuritis, and was unable to attend the Woodwardian elections. He wrote to the Vice-Chancellor in support of [John Edward] Marr, who was elected. Geikie comments on [David] Lloyd George's 'Britishers' in 'The Times', which horrified him. He was sorry to hear of [Arthur Bray] Kempe's retirement and will write to him urging him to stay on until a good successor could be found. </dc:description>
