Letter from George A [Alexander] Gibson, 8 Sandyford Place, Glasgow, to [Joseph] Larmor Professor [William] Jack has retired and Gibson has decided to apply for his Chair at Glasgow University. Larmor wrote in his favour when applying for Aberdeen and he hopes for his support. Gibson gives an account of his career to date, stating his claims to aid in higher education, and his motives in helping his old university. He encloses a copy of what Larmor wrote for the Aberdeen post [not present]. 12 June 1909
