Letter from Margaret Lindsay Huggins, 90 Upper Tulse Hill, S W [South West], to Professor [Joseph] Larmor Huggins asks if Larmor has considered joining the Dante Society or the Society for Franciscan Study. An old friend of hers [unnamed] is giving an Address to the Society for Franciscan Study at Assisi next spring. Huggins then notes that she is closely following the arrangements about the Royal Society telescopes, and that she does not think the proposed arrangement can be bettered. She writes that 'the RS will receive back its instruments from Sir William in an immensely improved state. The Cassegrain form of reflector has not been sufficiently appreciated, I think'. She further discusses these arrangements and the transfer of the instruments, for which she thanks Larmor for his help. 20 October 1908
