<dc:title>Letter from William Huggins, 90 Upper Tulse Hill, S W [South West] London, to the Secretary [Joseph Larmor]</dc:title>
<dc:description>Huggins updates Larmor on many listed topics. He writes that he has heard from Lyttleton that the 'Discovery' and the two relief ships have arrived, and is sure [Clements] Markham will publish the good news. Huggins saw Larmor's amended statement about Ra and was surprised to see it in the 'Times'. Huggins has spoken to [John] Wolfe-Barry regarding the passsing of a grant and a discussion with the Council. He has decided will not send his address to the King until he has had confirmation from the Home Secretary. He discusses a letter from [Arthur William] Rucker on behalf of the 'LW'. He then discussses [Henry Edward] Armstrong and [James] Dewar's work on the radium experiments. Huggins is glad that Larmor will read [William Thomson, Lord] Kelvin's book. He discusses his own paper in 'Philosophical Transactions' on the 'spectra of the chemical elements', in relation to findings from [Arthur] Schuster and Nutting[?]. He then provides an update on the radium experiment, and ends the letter by asking for Larmor's opinion on a letter by H B May. </dc:description>
