The king seemed interested in the radium work and with a new metal 'resembling zinc', recently discovered by a Japanese student [Masataka Ogawa] in [William] Ramsay's laboratory. Huggins stresses that this is a private discovery at present. The metal is to be called 'nipponium'. Huggins is sorry that Larmor's duties at the Royal Society prevented him from representing St John's College when Royal visitors attended. </dc:description>
