<dc:title>Letter from W J [William John] Johnston, 6 Marine Terrace, Aberystwyth, to [Joseph] Larmor</dc:title>
<dc:description>He has just received Larmor's letter, as Johnston had neglected to give his address to the College porter. It was a pleasure to copy the manuscript as it gave a clearer grasp of the argument. 'The verification of Einstein's view is certainly very remarkable. But his hypothesis is fanciful...' Johnston thinks the observation [presumably by Eddington and Dyson] may be accounted for more naturally. He discusses Clifford's paper and H J S Smith's introduction. There should be more books such as Somerville's for non-specialists, and he thinks he may be able to contribute in his own way. </dc:description>
