<dc:title>Letter from A [Alexander] Larmor, Craglands, Helen's Bay, County Down, to Joseph [Larmor]</dc:title>
<dc:description>He gathered from remarks in the answer books that log tables were supplied to each bench of candidates, but could not always be got. The majority of candidates used them and those who did not lost no more than one mark. He notes the questions where tables were necessary, but if candidates left answers ready for their application they were allowed 1 1/2 marks out of 2. Such candidates would have more time for other questions, and therefore Alexander thinks it would make no difference to the marks gained. </dc:description>
