<dc:title>Incomplete letter from Alex [Alexander] Larmor, to [Joseph Larmor]</dc:title>
<dc:description>Commencing mid-way through an explanation of an experiment on light bands and the rotation of the Earth on its axis. A negative result would have shown [Augustin-Jean] Fresnel to be correct. He might try the experiment himself and snds a manuscript [not present] so that Joseph can find any errors and whether it could be carried through. He asks how much residual charge in a Leiden jar is due to polarization. A radioactive body would dischsrge a Leiden jar, he supposes.

A pencil note in the margin reads 'Oct 05'. </dc:description>
