<dc:title>Letter from W D [William Davidson] Niven, R N Coll [Royal Naval College] to [Joseph] Larmor </dc:title>
<dc:description>He is pleased that Larmor will come to see him on Wednesday. He will expect Larmor to dine and sleep there and he asks when he will arrive. Niven thought it was at the second meeting of Council that Officers were arranged [at the London Mathematical Society]. His own decision was fortrunate now that Lord Kelvin has agreed to the Presidency. Goodwin and Buller are both leaving and the latter's move is a severe blow. Naval instructors will be wanted soon and good candidates would be 'most acceptable'. </dc:description>
