<dc:title>Letter from J Theo [John Theodore] Merz, The Quarries, Newcastle upon Tyne, to [Joseph] Larmor</dc:title>
<dc:description>He saw in 'Nature' that Larmor's paper on 'Energetics and molecular theory' might be expected at the British Association. Merz asks if it has appeared anywhere, or might be seen. Remarks in 'Aether and Matter' make Merz want to have his ideas for the Energy chapter in his almost completed volume 2 'History' ['A history of European thought in the nineteenth century']. The President's Address did not add much to what Merz knew of the controversy going on abroad for the past five years. </dc:description>
