<dc:title>Letter from E [Ernest] Rutherford, 17 Wilmslow Road, Withington, Manchester, to [Joseph] Larmor </dc:title>
<dc:description>He thanks Larmor for the good wishes, although he had some trouble in deciphering Larmor's 'cryptic letter'. He has been hard at work analyzing the wavelengths of the gamma rays. It is one hundred times more difficult than x-rays because of their short wavelength and penetrating power. He repeated [Henry Gwyn Jeffreys] Moseley's experiments in order to test his crystals and found it 'quite a holiday task'. </dc:description>
