<dc:title>Letter from E [Ernest] Rutherford, 17 Wilmslow Road, Withington, Manchester, to [Joseph] Larmor </dc:title>
<dc:description>He received Larmor's letter and resolutions of the Committee in Engineering Studies about J.J.T. [Joseph John Thomson] and this should clear the air. He thinks he did not appreciate the position as it was defined currently. He does not mind having two professors. He received a kind letter from Thomson which supplemented the report, so he thinks he has enough to make a decision. If his formal letter is delayed too long, Larmor should send a wire to hurry him up. His university salary is £1,250, with the university paying £125 into a pension fund, and he would like to have the same. </dc:description>
