<dc:title>Letter from J H [John Henry] Poynting, 10 Ampton Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham, to [Joseph] Larmor</dc:title>
<dc:description>Poynting was feeling bad when he corrected his proofs, but did not realise how ill, until he saw what he had allowed through, and Larmor's corrections. He has gone through it again but gets the same results, which he cannot see any way out of. It does agree with Larmor for a reflector. He explains why he thinks the theory shows that the velocity of light is an upper limit for moleclar velocity and an upper limit to gas temperature. </dc:description>
