<dc:title>Letter from J H [John Henry] Poynting, 10 Ampton Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham, to [Joseph] Larmor</dc:title>
<dc:description>He is glad that Larmor thinks 'the momentum business' was all right. Darwin had reached the same result for a moving sphere, with corpuscules, obtaining double the pressure as he should do. Poynting will not commit himself to any statement in Ewart or in 'P & T's Prop of Matter' [Poynting and J.J. Thompson's Properties of Matter]. He hopes that Larmor will explain in the botanical note and place this in Proceedings A, rather than bury it in B.</dc:description>
